The searched name part must be at least 3 characters long. You can refine the search using the % and _ symbols. The % symbol stands for any number of characters (including none). If you enter three % symbols (%%%) in the name part field, all place names will be selected that match the other conditions specified in the search table. This allows you to search for place names even when you don't know any part of the name (for example, to select official place names). Adding % at the end of the name part (e.g., ozol%) will search for names that start with the given part: Ozolkalni, Ozoliņi, etc. Adding % at the beginning of the name part (e.g., %ozoli) will search for names that end with the given part: Mazozoli, Dižozoli, etc. These symbols can also be combined. For example, entering Dru_%a will match place names where at least one character appears between 'u' and 'a': Druva, Druviena, Druja, etc.
